The Malcontent

Il Malcontento is a work by Carlo Zoccoli that joins the works of Manlio and Marco Ortolani and, together with these, becomes part of La Malcontenta e il Lupo.

Il Malcontento is a work made in Raku ceramic.

"Raku is a Japanese ceramic firing technique [...]" [1] which dates back to the 16th century and is linked to the tradition of the tea ceremony.
A characteristic of this technique is the difficulty in controlling the colors during the firing phase; these can in fact lead to even unexpected results. Thus, the touch of "chance," more or less directed by the hands of the artists of this discipline, adds charm and mystery to the resulting work, almost as if unknown forces come into play in this merging of matter.
